John 19:38 “After this, Joseph of Arimathea, secretly a disciple of Jesus for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. And Pilate permitted it. So he came and took his body.”
God honors both the largest or smallest of things we do for Him. Probably, most people don’t think of this verse in the Bible as being one of any significance. I do. The reason is because in the darkest of times, Joseph of Arimathea stood up and was counted for His faith in Jesus. He said he believed, no matter the cost.
Another thing that is so important is that God wants us to do the “ordinary.” Taking care of burial duties is a part of life. Don’t think God is necessarily calling you to go to a faraway ministry. He may want you to do daily, ordinary, and unspectacular tasks for Him.
Lord, teach me to follow Your will in the ordinary things of each day. I praise You for Your guidance.
Are you listening to the Lord’s guidance in your life? How?
