Colossians 3:12 “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
To live the life of Christ, our behavior in life must be dramatically different from the world’s. It may be tempting to respond in kind when hurt or slandered, but God’s way is different. We are to be compassionate, and to be compassionate is to have the heart of Christ.
Today is my son Paul’s birthday. I am blessed that he has the gifts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. I praise God for him!
Lord, help me to reflect your compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience with my co-workers, customers, friends, family, and all the people I meet today. I praise You for giving me the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Do you draw from your gifts of the Holy Spirit to become more Christ-like in your actions? Do you realize the best way to praise God is to use the gifts He has given you?
