Matthew 15: 11 “It is not what enters one’s mouth that defiles that person; but what comes out of the mouth is what defiles one.”
It is extremely important that we watch every word we say. We have the power to build or destroy.
In our lives, some people will think what we have to say is essential. It could be a spouse, child, friend, co-worker, or even someone we meet at a party or on the street.
At that moment, find a way of building their confidence. Show how much you love them and the Lord loves them, by your words and actions.
Thank You Lord, for giving me the grace to monitor what I say to those around me. Help me to encourage others, and to love them as You love them. I praise You for being the God of encouragement.
When do you fail to encourage others? How can you stop yourself and see ways and words to build people up?
