365 Days of Praise

2 Corinthians 4: 18 “…as we look not to what is seen, but what is unseen; for what is seen is transitory, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Where is our focus?  Do we focus on the things of this world, which pass away?  Or, are we building eternal treasure in heaven?

It is very easy to get trapped by what we see, taste, and feel.  To devote our energy and actions toward the material leads us down the path of lusting after what the world gives.  It will never bring us peace or the fruits of the Holy Spirit.  Indeed, our focus must be on loving God, our “neighbors,” and building God’s kingdom on earth.

Lord, change my heart to center on Your heavenly treasure.  I praise You for the grace of building God’s kingdom on earth.

Do you focus on the fruits of this world or treasures of heaven?  Is it hard to conceptualize the greatest treasure?  Imagine having everlasting life in heaven with God?  What will it be like?
