Luke 14:33 “In the same way, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.”
One of my major life lessons was in the realization that a job, career, or anything else must not become a “god” in my life. Unfortunately, it can happen without our realizing it. A test for this is observing the stress and anxiety that occurs when things don’t go the way we think they should. If we have the “proper” perspective, the only thing that should be important is our serving and praising God.
God is not interested in our success in life, but in our being faithful. When we are faithful, He will bless us beyond our comprehension. No one can even come close to God’s generosity.
Lord, thank You for teaching me that the only thing important is serving You. I praise You for Your grace.
Do you reflect on the Lord’s amazing love? His grace in your life?
