Leviticus 19:18 “Taken no revenge and cherish no grudge against your fellow countrymen. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
In life there are people who, for one reason or another, will not support us. We get upset when we learn that they are spreading rumors about us, or even insults. If you are of the world, you think about retribution or revenge.
However, you are not of the world. For the Christian, we know that God’s ways are not our own. We are not to seek revenge, but to love our enemies – even when they have hurt us beyond what we think we can endure. We are to pray daily and cherish those who turn against us.
Lord, I praise and thank You for helping me to seek Your face and Your wisdom in my dealings with others.
How does it benefit you to see the Lord in the people you spend time with?
