Acts 4: 20 “‘It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.’”
God’s wonders and miracles are happening all around us as we go about our daily activities. Often we take them for granted. It might be our spouse, children, job, or the beauty of nature. To do God’s will means to talk about these wondrous things and to praise His name for His gifts.
I believe that ignoring and not giving thanks to God for our blessings and gifts is a sin of pride. The sin is in thinking that somehow we deserve them, or even worse, that our power or charm is the reason for them.
It is important to praise His name for all things and to ask Jesus to open our eyes to see the world and your life as He does.
Lord, give me the grace to speak boldly of all the signs and wonders in my life, in hopes that others may come to know You. I praise You for the gift of boldness.
Do you honor blessings that God has bestowed upon you? When has your pride gotten in the way of praising God for all the gifts and blessings given unto you?
