Matthew 20:16 “[T]he last will be first, and the first will be last.”
This may be a difficult verse for those who have grown up in a Capitalist society, a part of the American culture. Indeed, the parable of the laborers is told to us for a very specific reason. We learn, even more, that God’s ways are not the ways of the world and His mercy is far different from what we experience in our daily life.
In God’s eyes, we are all unworthy of His grace. Therefore, we are to share in it equally – our sins are equally forgiven. When Jesus died on the cross, He washed us all whiter than snow and equal to receive His grace.
Thank You Lord for saving me, no matter what point of my life I am in. I praise You for being my redeemer and my savior.
Do you realize that when you fully surrender to God, you are saved by His unconditional love. Reflect on His amazing love.
